Watermelon Mint Lemonade

Ingredients

  •  ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • 10 cups seedless watermelon, cubed in 1-inch pieces
  • 1 cup fresh-squeezed lemon juice
  • ½ cup loosely packed mint leaves
  • Lemon slices, for serving
  • Fresh mint sprigs, for serving

Directions

1. First, you’ll need to make the simple syrup. In a saucepan over medium heat bring the water and        sugar to a boil and set aside to cool.

2. In a high-speed blender add the watermelon pieces and mint leaves and blitz until pureed.

3. Strain it through a fine-mesh sieve and transfer the pure liquid in a big pitcher.

4. Pour in the lemon juice and simple syrup.

5. Let it chill in the fridge for 20 minutes and serve with ice, lemon wedges, and sprigs of mint.
